how about a FlowChart .NET Stencil for Visio`?

I created a Diagramm in Visio 2003.
The nodes were transformed in default rectangle nodes with correct text and color.
but the links... only the comment were transformed correct and placed at the correct positions.

that links used doesn't seems to get mapped to a FlowChartArrow.

So it would be quite good if you could provide the FlowChartNodes and Arrows in a VisioStencil.
So the transforming from VisioImport is able to provide a better result.

thanks

Hello Mat,

The VisioImporter supports importing shapes from several of the Visio standard palettes, e.g. flowchart, data flow, organizational, and some more. What Visio template do you use to create your diagrams?

okay,

I e.g. tried the standard "block diagramm" Basic shapes.
The result of importing in a FlowchartForm war really dreadful.

other shapes (rectancle with rounded edge)  were imported as default rectancle. some arrows are still bind to correct nodes, other (of the same arrow type) are wrong (or not) imported.
e.g. a store-shape was transformed to three rectancle shapes

the best result I got with shapes I exported first from FlowChart to Visio and then back to FlowChart.

That's why I asked for a FlowChartStencil for Visio
(I use Visio2003).

And there are a lot of shapes in Visio that aren't good to Import. (a lot of work to find out which shapes fit and which ones not)

Stencils I'd like to use?
e.g. the one from FMC (http://www.fmc-modeling.org/)
fundamental modeling concepts
or also
using UML2.0-stencil

thanks,
Mat

We could add support for block diagram shapes too. But for third-party stencils, perhaps it will be better if the component raises an event for each shape it imports, and let you create a Flowchart.NET box that corresponds to the Visio shape ID?
