Display only available times

Hi there,

I'm using the Timetable view of the Calendar control to view appointments. How can I configure it to only display the times which do not have appointments made on them?

I'm using the web control, but I doubt there's a difference.

Thanks!

I cannot understand what you want to achieve. Can you provide more details about it, preferably with an image illustrating the end result?

Hi Meppy,

Apologies for the confusion.

In your typical timetable view, you define a time at which the timetable starts and which it ends at (i.e: 7am - 7pm), with the appointments in between.

My plan is to share this calendar with the public, however I only want them to see the times on the calendar which do not have appointments (only available time slots).

If an appointment has been made between 10-11am, it should only show the times outside this area:

E.g:
...
9:00 ____________________
9:30 ____________________
11:30 ____________________
12:00 ____________________
...

See my image below

Thanks!

Thank you for the clarification.

Unfortunately filtering times in the timetable view is not currently supported. It will also be difficult to implement on a per-day basis since all dates in a timetable view share the same timeline.

I will check if we can come up with another solution and will come back to you.

Meppy

Thanks Meppy, I understand Smiley

Perhaps I need to think out of the box for this. Is there a different view I can use which might accomplish this?

I'm the decision maker for this project, so any alternatives are appreciated!

Hi again,

Filtering is currently not supported in any of the views. However, by using event handling, you can prevent the users from creating items in certain areas in the view. You can also visually indicate that the areas in question are 'disabled' by assigning custom styles to them. The following sample illustrates how to achieve this:

Let me know if this helps.
