I'm loading in svg content and would like to know how to select a svg element primitive, granted its a GDI primitive, and if possible relate it to the svg element and also modify it. I'm using version 5.6

There is no built-in support for editing SVG graphics available at this time.

So there isn't a way to use the GDI hittest to select a primitive on a ShapeNode?

No, you cannot select primitives in a ShapeNode. You could possibly use ShapeControlPoint objects to let users modify some aspects of formula shapes, without adding or deleting graphics primitives. E.g. you can use these to change rounded corner radiuses, arrowhead lengths, etc. You can find some examples here:

That won't help you modify SVG graphics though, unless you convert your SVG markup to shape formulas.
