FlowChartX 4 has been released!

This major update provides the following new features:

* Box rotation *
Boxes whose Style is set to bsShape can be rotated at arbitrary angles. A user can rotate a selected box interactively using the rotation handle drawn above the box. A box can be rotated programmatically using its RotationAngle property. The Picture and Text of the box are rotated too if its RotateContents property is enabled.

* Spanning table cells *
Now table cells can span several rows and columns, as set in the CellRowSpan and CellColumnSpan indexed properties. The width and height of a spanning cell equal the sums of widths and heights of all columns and rows spanned by the cell. Images and text displayed inside spanning cells fill up the entire width and height of the cells. That enables creating nodes whose contents is elaborately laid out, without using grouped boxes.

* Logical measure units *
Previous FlowChartX versions used device units (pixels) for measuring the size of diagram items and user interface elements. As a result, the same diagram could look smaller or larger on different displays depending on the current display resolution. Now the unit of measure can be set via the MeasureUnit property, which lets you use device-independent logical units for specifying the size, width or length of objects.

* Grid graph layout *
(a feature of FlowChartX Pro edition)
The GridLayout algorithm arranges diagram nodes in a grid, keeping connected nodes close together. The algorithm strives to achieve a small number of arrow crossings and routes arrows through the grid so they do not cross any node.

* Export SVG drawings *
(a feature of FlowChartX Pro edition)
Use the SvgExporter component to create Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) files from FlowChartX diagrams. SVG files can be displayed using the Adobe SVG Viewer browser plug-in, or they can be edited using the most popular vector graphics applications.

* Miscellaneous *
Clipboard and undo operations now affect ActiveX controls hosted inside boxes.
The new SelHandleSize property lets you set the size of selection handles.
