Hi there

I was wondering… are you planning a feature that will enable getting the current layout of the control as an image file supported by silverlight (GIF/PNG…) ?

I have this need here and would like to know if it is in your wish-list….

Many Thanks

Hi there,

We want to add such a feature very much, but there are two problems 8):

- no VisualBrushes available in Silverlight
- no image encoders in Silverlight

They will be added in later Silverlight versions from what we can see on some Microsoft blogs.

At this time, you could save the diagram as XML and send it to the server, load it using the Diagram class from MindFusion.Diagramming.Dll coming with our Windows Forms and ASP.NET controls, and use its SaveImage method.

I hope that helps,
Stoyan
