Display of Appointment with multiple resources

I'm allowing the user to select multiple resources in the scheduling calendar, but when i create new Appointment for the selected resources, i get one rectangle for each resource. Is it possible to merge the rectangles into one single, for particular appointment that contains multiple resources?

This is not possible at the moment. You can probably use custom item drawing to render different rectangles of an item as parts of one big item that spans all its resources, but you might have to draw outside of the bounding box of individual parts in order to fill the margin between them.
