SQL Server Compact Issue with Calendar control

My compact framework application that I am using the Mindfusion calendar control with also uses SQL Server Compact 3.5.  The application throws "Database corrupted" exceptions very often when the form containing the calendar is used.  Googling the exception indicates that it is a common thing that can happen if there are multiple threads using the same connection or a problem with the SD card driver, etc.  In my case though, the problem is only happening in the area of the application that is using the calendar control.  I am wondering if others have had issues with this or if there is a known solution.

Can you try hiding (or better yet removing if possible) the Calendar control from the forms of interest, but keep the rest of the form logic (particularly any logic related to your SQL Server database) and see if the problem persists? Execute any database operations originally initiated via interactions with the Calendar control through other means.
