Export to Visio

Hi,

I'm using Diagramming v5.3.5 (Winforms).

Is it correct that exporting a diagram to Visio format will/can lose bitmap information?

Export to PDF looks fine, but if I export a diagram to Visio I only see some arrows, but no text and no bitmaps. All nodes in my diagram are from a custom class.

Is there any way to get the export to Vision to work correctly?

Thanks!

Hi,

Visio exporter does not process low-level graphics but only maps ShapeNode.Shape values to built-in Visio stencils, so it cannot export nodes that you draw yourself. You could try replacing your custom nodes with standard ShapeNodes in an off-screen diagram, copying their Text and Image values, and then export that diagram to Visio. For bitmaps to be exported you might also have to set exporter's ExportImagesAsGroups property.
