overlapping boxes in gridlayout ?

Hello !

Im doing an ER diagram (still) and using gridlayout, which places them in very nice rows.. but sometimes i can spot up to 4-5 boxes in the exact same position? also sometimes this collection of boxes overlap another single box by half of its area or so.. i tried upping the gridsize but there is already plenty of space between the boxes..

did i miss a setting maybe ?

If you have some tables that are not connected to the main graph, try increasing the XGap property. It controls the space between separate graphs in the layout.

didnt seem to change it, but i noticed that it is always the same box that is on top of some others.. could it be that the algorithm just cant find a better solution when trying to sort out the arrow connections as well ?
I would have prefered that it crossed some arrows instead.
Any other suggestions ?

Do you think this issue would be solved if i used another algorithm? I know its hard to say, but you know them better than me.

Have you set box.IgnoreLayout by any chance? Anyway, I'm not sure what exactly happens - could you use the SaveToFile method and email me the file?
