Hi

Is there some tool available where custom shapes can be defined graphically? I can not seem to get the my shapes 100 % accurate since an connection is automatically created between the last and the first node.

Best regards,
Magnus

Hi,

This is the tool:
https://mindfusion.org/FcxDesignerBeta.zip

The outline must be a single closed region though, you can't create a shape that consists of several disconnected regions. You could create disconnected decoration paths, but they won't be filled. Or you could use WMFs or groups of shapes to achieve a similar effect.

Hi Stoyan

Thank you very much for the tool and the advise. Now I am able to create exactly the shapes that I want. I am very, very happy with the results!
I had not tested the "Decoration possibility" before and since I do not need to fill my custom made shapes this offers the perfect solution for me.

Thank you once again!

Best regards,
Magnus

Hi Ainun,

Are you getting some runtime error when running the designer? Is there any error code or message text shown?

Stoyan

Hi Stoyan,

Looks like it is not a run-time error. It seems my laptop that got some problem since you're not mentioning the file were corrupt. The debugger said "An unhandled win32 exception occured in Designer.exe [2976]". It is "Just-In-Time Debugger" belong to Visual Studio 2008.

I've successfully extracted it, but when I open the file, that warning always poped-up. I dont know what to do, so I asked you.

I'm desperate because I need to make shape based on BPMN shape. Or maybe it has something to do with trial version of Mindfusion? because I'm using it to try the project.

Could you suggest something?

thanks, and sorry for the trouble.
Best Regards,

Ainun

Hi,

We have released a version with built-in BPMN shapes just a few weeks ago. If you downloaded the trial before that, try the new version 4.3.1:

https://www.mindfusion.eu/FCXdemoPro.zip

Regarding running the shape designer, could you try opening the .exe file with the Dependency Walker tool that comes with VS and see if there aren't some required dlls missing?

Best regards,
Stoyan

Hi,

I've just figured out that there is shape designer tool came with the installation. I missed it the last time and looking for it on internet instead.

I am able to run it (the one came with installation pacakage), but until now i can't run the downloaded file from this page's link.

Wow, i didn't notice there were already BPMN shape installed. I guess I get distracted by desginer tool.

thanks,
best regards,
Ainun
