Hi,

I am using the PDF export code to create a pdf of an image made up of boxes and arrows.

When I view the pdf after the export it shows the image correctly. But when I print it, some arrows are missing and text in one box.

Any ideas ?

Rgds

Hi,

What happens if you enable the "grayscale printing" option in the printer property dialog? Your printer might have run out of color ink, and if the missing text and arrows are in some color different than black, they won't be printed unless you switch to grayscale.

I hope that helps,
Stoyan

Hi Stoyan,

It is not an ink issue. I tried printing in grayscale and color and the same thing happens.

If I print the netdiagram image from the webpage,  it prints properly.

I am not sure if its an adobe issue or netdiagram ??

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Geoff

Hi Geoff,

Does the Adobe PdfReader display any error messages while opening the file? If PdfReader is able to load the file and display it correctly on screen, it should be able to print the diagram fine. Could you post a link to the PDF here, or email it to support@mindfusion.eu?

Hi,

The PDF printed fine on our Canon inkjet printer - we have tried this both from PdfReader versions 7 and 8. Could you check what happens if you remove the "&" symbol from the text of that box? If you are using a postscript printer, it might expect some special character sequence coming after the "&", though that should not happen when the ampersand is a part of a string. If removing it fixes the print problem, update your printer driver and PdfReader to their latest versions and try to print with the ampersand again.
