Keep ratio

If I set the KeepRatio constraint on a shape node and drag any of the top corners the shape starts moving up and down. Draging the other handles works as expected, it’s only the top left and top right corner that have this behavior.

I’ve tried to work around the problem by setting a MoveDirection constraint but it didn’t help.

Our developer believes it works as expected in all cases, but the constraints are always calculated relatively to the top line. Do you want them applied relatively to the bottom line for the top corners, so the line at the opposite end of a corner always stays in place?

I would like the top corners to mirror the behavior of the bottom corners. Now the shape node doesn’t have any vertical constraint at all when I drag the top corners. I can movie the whole node up and down.

Ok, our developer will try to implement it later this week.

You can find a download link on the private messages page. Indeed it looks better when the opposite corner does not move, we have to admit Smiley

It’s not entirely perfect. If you rotate the shape so that the top corners become the bottom corners and then try to drag them, the whole shape fly off screen and sometimes throws exceptions like “A generic error occurred in GDI+” or “Overflow error”.

I’ve not tried this in the 5.2 beta.

This build of the 5.2 beta should fix it:
