The DiagramLite is really amazing work and way to go. 

One feature which I found lacking is positioning of node labels should be outside of the image area when a ShapeNode is used to show images as nodes. The TEXT property puts the image over the node which is not at all desired and readable and makes the whole diagram look ugly. I know, that usercontrol can be used as a workaround, but I believe you should make this feature an inbuilt finctionality in near releases please.

Thanks 8) For the 1.0.2 release we'll try to implement support for ControlTempaltes that could be assigned to Shape definitions, and that should provide you with one way to move the text below the image. Additionally, there are text and image alignment properties in the Windows Forms version of the control, which we'll port to DiagramLite as well soon.
