Hi Stoyo

Is it possible that mindfusion diagramming tool provides "Network Layout" for generating networks diagrams in future releases?

I find on internet that there are tools available which checks your network and generates network diagram from same.

Also, Can you provide me some resources link if you know,  by referrring which i can create my own network layout.

Regards
Rajesh

Hi Rajesh,

Do you mean you need to access the computers on the network and build a diagram showing them? I don't think that's possible using only the Silverlight API. Now that Silverlight 4 can access COM objects, perhaps you can do that with the help of an ActiveX control installed along with your Silverlight app.

As for the layout, could you post a screenshot showing what kind of diagrams are generated by the tool you mentioned?

Regards,
Stoyan

Hi Stoyo

Thanks for your reply.

I don't want to fetch the computers from network. I want to generate diagram using network layout.

http://www.10-strike.com/network-diagram/network-diagram-create.png

On the above url, you see a image, in which following steps in wizard analysis network topology and diagram is generated.

In my app, i have nodes which are releated to each other and using same i want to generate similar diagram.

Hi Rajesh,

This looks similar to the radial version of TreeLayout. You could also try SpringLayout with EnableClusters set to true.

I hope that helps,
Stoyan
