one more question about wmf export

Hi,

*1*
after exporting diagram to wmf file have found bad white band bottom and right of the picture:

Is it possible to get it off for wmf export?

I thought is not a big problem, and
1) exported wmf to powerpoint 2003(PP)
2) converted picture to microsoft drawing object ("edit picture" in PP)
3) found that wmf images in nodes dissappear after such converting (dissappeared forever, I can not find ones), but bmp images - no.
See picture below

So for some kinds of diagram it is hard to delete white band without fails.

*********************

*2*
As I checked exporting to wmf exports whole diagram. Is there possibility to export part of diagram? For example - part rendered in diagramview control for zoom < 100 %?

Best

lol, what's our grinning prime minister doing in your flowchart 8)

I couldn't see any white bands, tried an exported wmf in both Inkscape and Office. Could you email a sample project showing the settings you are using to support@mindfusion.eu?

WmfExporter does not specify any image size when exporting, and the metafile size should be based on its content. Perhaps you could temporarily set smaller diagram.Bounds before exporting, then the diagram should render only the items within the smaller bounds on the metafile graphics.

Dear Stoyo,
Sorry for delay with answer

please download test project for reprodusing white band:
https://rapidshare.com/files/438384490/mindfusionTest.zip

I use dotnet2 version of MindFusionDiagrams in VS2005 so send you vs2005 project.

in bin/debug/data dir
*.fns - example diagrams
with test program menu "export to wmf" you can generate own wmf for check.
My exported wmf files enclosed in the same directory -
exp1.wmf - for diagram with wmf images in nodes
exp2.wmf - for diagram with bmp images in nodes
exp3.wmf - for diagram without images in nodes

bmpX.gif - example images for nodes
wmfX.wmf - example images for nodes

best

This looks like a bug in PowerPoint. Apparently it disregards the MetafileFrameUnit argument passed to the Metafile constructor. If  you switch diagram.MeasureUnit to Pixel, the white bands disappear. Our developer thinks we could make the exporter always specify the metafile frame size in pixels as a workaround, but we'll have to test if that won't break something else. For the time being check if switching MeasureUnit temporarily to Pixel before exporting will work for you.
