Virtual Keyboard Java control beta

We are beta testing first version of MindFusion Virtual Keyboard control for Java.

Virtual Keyboard is an on-screen keyboard component that enables text and shortcut input through touch, mouse or stylus events. The control works similarly to mobile devices' embedded keyboards, letting users input text into the currently focused entry field. It is especially useful for applications running on touch screen terminals, such as POS or industrial systems. The integration of an onscreen virtual keyboard can also be used to enhance traditional desktop applications with accessibility features. It is implemented as a Java Swing control and can be easily integrated with any Java desktop applications.

With Virtual Keyboard you can:
  • implement text input in keyboardless environment
  • build Kiosk or POS user interfaces with a limited number of input keys
  • send keys as input to external applications
  • implement accessibility features for users with mobility impairments
  • show common words for your application as keys in the keyboard

If anyone is interested in trying the beta version, please download this archive containing the control's jar archive and sample projects -

Any comments, questions and general feedback are welcome.
