Additional information on this issue that might help you find a solution for me.

If not the container but a node in the container is selected only the incoming and outgoing links for the selected object are visible with the container bounds. Other links within the bounds are not shown. Links or parts of links outside the bound of the container are visible.

The containers are nested and the largest container which contains other containers. The bounds of this largest container determine whether a link or part of is visible regards whether the large container or child is selected.

This version does not fix the problem.

Situation is as follows

Diagram Canvas
     Node1  (link A to Node2)
     Container level 1
             Container level 2
                     Node2 (link A to Node1, Link B to Node3)
                     Node3 (Link B to Node2)

Click on diagram canvas --> all show

Select Container 1 --> links and part of links within bounds of container 2 disappear

Select Container 2 --> same as container 1

Select Node2 --> link A & B are both shown since they are connected to Node2

Select Node3 --> only Link B shows, link A disappears.

There is a difference compared to 2.10 where links were also not shown on Container 1
