WorkTime ideas

1.
WorkTime for ResourceView would be very cool (of course only useful when there is a Timeline with Unit<Day.

2.
In general (both for the existing Timetable-Worktime and hopefully the future ResourceView-Worktime from 1.) a WorktimeCellSize property would be very handy.

3.
In addition to 2.: For the ResourceView a TimelineSettings.WorktimeUnitCount property and for the Timetable-View a WorktimeCellTime property would be a very powerful feature for preserving space.

Implementing view cells with variable sizes might prove challenging. We will have to look into it before I can give any estimates.

Yeah, that's why I used "ideas" in the subject Wink

Right now ResourceViewSettings.WorkTimeStart, ~.WorkTimeEnd and ~.BottomTimeLineWorkTimeUnitCount are the most interesting nice-to-have ideas (for me).

Currently any method for seperation of several days in ResourceView with an hour timeline would be handy:

* a thicker line at midnight
* alternating day colors
* the mentioned worktime color

Can you draw a picture illustrating the desired result?

This where 3 seperate ideas since I don't know which of them are easy to implement (or maybe could already be done by applying some wpf styles).

I'll try to do some Paint.net manipulations against a screenshot.

How it currently looks like:

(primary a test message if this works at all (or is there some attachment functionality somewhere?))

Either of these would be useful. The last one (worktime) would currently fit best.

I will see what I can do using the new cell presenters and get back to you with the results.

Try this sample:

https://mindfusion.eu/_samples/_sample_CustomResourceViewCells.zip

I am using a CellPresenter-derived class to customize the appearance of selected cells. Use the radio buttons at the top of the main window to switch between different ideas.

BTW: Is this Culture property a new one? I had to change the string into "de-DE" for designer/runtime being able to load.

(Shouldn't be FrameworkElement.Language enough?)

Calendar.Culture is not new - it is a legacy property from our WinForms Calendar component. We were actually not aware of the FrameworkElement.Language property. We will check if we can safely dispose of this property in a future release.

Is there a possibility to limit the displayed time range in resource view? For example i need a time range (working time) from 8 to 18, is that possible? I don't want the unlimited time range from 0 to 24.

Unfortunately this is currently not possible - the time in the Resource view can only be continuous. You can style the non-working hours differently, but you cannot hide them from the view.
