Liscencing Question

If I purchase a single developer liscence initially and later on find the need to get the source code..can I get it by just paying the difference.

And what are the limitations/restrictions of the trial version from a functionality standpoint(I get the liscensing difference)?

Yes, you can do that. Apart from displaying a trial watermark at some point, there aren't any feature or time limits.
