How to have expanding node links

I have a question as to how one would go about making nodes contract and expand children nodes in a diagram. I would like to have a diagram whose nodes have a +/- button that shows or hides children nodes, like in the example images.

Thanks in advance for any help on this matter.

Set the nodes' Expandable property.
