Is there a way to get the arrows snapped to the left even if there the nearest clear gap is at top.

If the nodes are positioned in a way where the the left side of one of the boxes is further to the left than the right side of the other boxes, It doesn't snap to the left side. Instead it snaps to blue box on the top that is the nearest one with clear gap in between.
Is there a way to get the arrows snapped to the left even if there the nearest clear gap is at top.

If you don't want any links connecting to the top, remove the anchor point from node's AnchorPattern definition. If you need to customize when the top point is used, try handling the ValidateAnchorPoint event and set args.Cancel; the control should search for other points then.
