Document as a virtual interface, how?

Hello,

I have my own pre-existing docuemnt class, with my own concept of nodes and links. I was hoping to use the new document/view architecture in 5.0 to allow me to visualize my document and provide a UI for editing. What I was hoping to avoid was needing a second flowchart-specific document to act as an intermediary.

Is it possible to use the document/view architecture with some sort of callback interface, so that whenever the view needs information about specific nodes or links I can provide them from my data (essentially virtualizing the document), or am I required to keep a flowchart document around and keep it synced with my own document?

Hi,

I'm afraid the only option at this time is to keep a Diagram synced with your document.

Thanks for the quick reply. It turns out that I'm ok with the existing model, since the concept of an editing transaction in the Mindfusion world and in my own document world are very different, and I need a mapping layer anyway.

So all is well. Smiley
