Pass smaller values than 3 to resize methods, but then you'll have to set even larger percents for text area. Perhaps you should not use modified text region for that as users might get confused when the outside text doesn't participate in hit-testing (if you need this kind of nodes to be selectable). Instead create a large-enough transparent node to contain all the text, and custom-draw the small circle at bottom by handling drawNode event.
