MindFusion.Pack for Silverlight gives you a better and faster way to develop any web application that
needs to show diagrams, calendars, flowcharts, schedules, reports and many more. This suite of four
programming components is very easy to use and integrate into any Silverlight application. The tools
offer elegant programming API, numerous data options, rich event set, completely customizable

MindFusion.Diagramming for Silverlight
Virtualization: VirtualizingDiagram can display very large diagrams very effectively. It creates actual DiagramNode and DiagramLink instances only for the elements currently rendered on screen. This keeps the Silverlight visual tree small and could lead to huge performance improvements in a diagram with thousands of elements.

CompositeLayout Algorithm: This algorithm partitions the diagram into several subgraphs and on each of them is applied the algorithm specified with the SubgraphLayout property. If the part is a tree, it is arranged using the algorithm specified with the SubtreeLayout property. Finally, the algorithm specified with MasterLayout is applied on the graph that represents the overall partition. |

The orthogonal layout
|
SpringLayout improvements: The Spring layout handles now better large nodes and nodes with non-uniform size. The SpringLayout energy model has been changed to one that leads to better symmetry in the arranged graphs. The old model can still be used by setting the LayoutMethod to Classic.
Other layout improvements:
--> OrthogonalLayout produces more compact layouts with less link bends if MinimizeLinkBends is enabled.
--> If the Radius of CircularLayout is set to 0, the algorithm automatically selects a radius that fits all nodes along the circle's circumference.

Miscellaneous new features:
--> The Clicked event tells you when the user has clicked on the diagram at a point unoccupied by items.
--> The Viewport property lets you know the portion of the diagram that is currently visible in the ScrollViewer.
--> New AllowMultipleResize property lets you resize multiple nodes simultaneously.

Reporting for Silverlight
You can now export reports to the Open Office XML format with the ExcelExporter. It is also much
easier to use exporters since their APIs have been unified. The Exporting Reports section in the
online help gives you detailed information about the exporters and how they are used.

The scheduling control also supports exporting to the Open Office XML format. In addition, many
calendar properties have been changed to dependency properties. These include Schedule, Date, EndDate,
and more. |
