TAN

Returns the tangent of the specified angle.

Syntax

TAN( Number n ) → Number

Parameters

n

Required. The angle for which to return the tangent. The angle is expressed in radians.

Remarks

If the angle is in degrees, multiply it by PI/180 or use the RADIANS function to convert it to radians.

Formula

=TAN(PI())
=TAN(45*PI()/180)
