ResourceView
The ResourceView displays the distribution of items over a period of time for particular contacts, locations, tasks or resources. The view displays a single row for each individual contact, location, task or resource and up to three timelines.

Vertical List View
Vertical layout has been added to the List view. The vertical list view displays a collection of rows where each row represents a single second, minute, hour, day, week, month or year. You can switch between horizontal and vertical layouts of the List view with the Orientation property. Grouping is available in both view layouts.

Miscellaneous
New Style-related properties and classes have been added to make styling a caledar clear and straightforwarded. Among the new classes are Style, HeaderStyle and ItemStyle. Two tutorials - Customizing the appearance of Views and Customizing the appearance of Items demonstrate how the new classes are used. getStartDate, getEndDate, getViewCells and getViewOrientation methods have been added to the Calendar's client API.

• XML serialization/deserialization is available for most of the controls through SaveToXml and LoadFromXml methods.
• SerializeTag and DeserializeTag events raised by the Menu control to enable custom value serialization/deserialization.

• The Window.AutoSize property enables window controls to size themselves according to their content.
• In most of the controls various *CssClass properties are introduced.

Client side

• Host controls now expose create* and delete* methods on the client side (for example Menu.createItem, TabControl.deleteTab) to enable creating/deleting of child items through JavaScript.
